COVID-19 - Update
Our LeMarchant Road office will be open 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. daily. Please note that the building doors will be kept locked in order to maintain the safety of staff and the public. We are asking that individuals needing to come to the funeral home for arrangements please contact us by telephone at 709-753-6845 to schedule an appointment. We thank you for your co-operation and patience during this time.
Due to recent developments and announcements from the Department of Health, Caul’s Funeral Home has now implemented the following practices and procedures:
-As of Monday, August 24, 2020, all individuals entering the funeral home must wear a mask, as ordered by the Department of Health. Please note that individuals must bring their own masks as masks will not be provided.
-Funeral services and graveside committals may be held with a maximum of 100 attendees present, depending on each facility's individual capacities.
-Visitations are permitted, with one household bubble visiting at a time.
-Informal gatherings are limited to only those in your Steady 20.
-These visitations will be scheduled at differing intervals to ensure the number of individuals in the building at one time is kept to a minimum and to allow thorough cleaning of the building between visitations.
-Caul's LeMarchant Road Chapel capacity is 50 attendees.
-Caul's Torbay Road Chapel capacity is 50 attendees.
-Any family members who have been outside of the Atlantic provinces within the past 14 days and those who are experiencing any flu-like symptoms are asked to refrain from entering the facilities.
-Signage posted throughout our facilities indicate the need to avoid hand shaking and close personal contact and also advises of proper hand washing practices.
-We have closed our lounges and are advising that food and beverages will not be permitted.
We will continue to monitor the situation and will update our policies as information is shared from the Department of Health, while continuing to keep the needs of the families we serve and public safety at the forefront. The health of our staff, those we serve, and the greater community, is of utmost importance.
