WHITTEN, Clara Joan - Passed into the loving arms of our Lord on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 Clara Joan Whitten (nee Ryan) age 73. Joanie was surrounded by her beloved and devoted daughter Elizabeth and ever loving family and friends.

Predeceased by her loving husband, John Robert Whitten February 13, 2003; Father, William E. Ryan May 31, 1964; Mother, Elizabeth Grace Ryan May 27, 2000; brother, Edward Thomas Ryan May 29, 1986; sister, Jane Woods December 25, 1992, Sisters in law, Maime Howlett & Phyllis Whitten; brothers-in-law James Tynion, Ira (Bud) Kirk, John Howlett (Jack) & Herbie Weir. Leaving to mourn her precious daughter Elizabeth Margaret Whitten, sisters E. Beverly Tynion; Margaret R. Pratt (Edward); Gertrude Whitten (Ronald); W. Elizabeth Kirk, brothers William J. Ryan (Patricia); James J. Ryan (Lena); John B. Ryan (Ruth); Brothers in law, Cyril Whitten, Max Whitten (Blanche), Leonard (June), Victor (Barb) sisters in law, Margarite Weir, Stella Evans (Murray) along with a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A special thanks is expressed to the dedicated staff at St. Patrick's Mercy Home for their tireless efforts and endless support.

Resting at Caul's Funeral Home on Lemarchant Road. Visitation on Thursday and Friday from 12:00 noon until 9:00pm. Funeral mass to be held at St. Kevin's Parish, Goulds on Saturday February 4, 2012 at 10:00am. Interment to follow at St. Kevin’s Cemetery. Goulds. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Kevin's Parish or St. Patrick's Mercy Home.

Mom is flying with the angels in heaven.
