Our sympathy to Aunt Jo on the passing of uncle Phil. It's difficult to lose anyone, especially a brother and sister in so short a time span. You were there for them both and they know it. Love.

We sincerely mourn the loss of my dear Uncle Phil. I did not get to see much of Uncle Phil as he lived most of his adult life in Corner Brook. Every now and then he would just show up and surprise us all and stay with us for a few days. My mother dearly loved him and both she and Aunt Jo made an effort to stay in touch with him over the years. Phil was a quiet man who absolutely loved animals. He was a kind soul and the animals sensed that in him. My mother, Sarah, was an animal lover, too, and was always slipping food to Michelle's dog, Bailey, whenever she was at their house for a get together. And she treated her darling cat "Ginger" like a child. We teased her that she loved that cat more than us and she teased us us back by saying that she was the only one who never talked back to her. Uncle Phil had a dog, Soldier, for years and a neighbor took him when Phil had to go into assisted living. He had a picture of his "buddy" on the wall in the rest home where he resided until his death. Phil was very upset that my mother, Sarah, passed away on the day she was supposed to get together with him at the rest home. Little did we know that in a matter of 2 months they would indeed get to see each other again along with all their family members and my dear father, Mike, and his departed family members in Paradise. May God rest his soul and grant him eternal peace with God in Heaven.
