Randolph (Randy) Pittman
PITTMAN, Randolph (Randy) -
September 25, 1956 – August 27, 2010 Having touched the lives of all who
knew him, Randy Pittman passed away on August 27, 2010 in the peaceful
surroundings of his loving home after his courageous struggle with cancer.
Leaving to mourn and to celebrate his life are his wife Helen (nee Mullins),
daughters Jillian and Sarah, and son Tyler, whose love and support for each
other have redefined family. Their strength could never be truly understood
nor measured. He is also lovingly remembered with cherished memories by: his
mother Pearl (nee Evans); three loving brothers and their families: Chris
(Shelly), Dave (Carmel), Kenny (Colleen); one sister, Heather Moores (Blair)
and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, staff and patrons of
the Newfoundland Liquor Corporation and many friends. In passing, he is now
reunited with his father Leo; two brothers, Noel and Paul (Debbie), nephew,
Matthew; and his best four-legged friend, Spur. Randy was a “townie’s
townie.” He loved his city and often shared many a story or historical fact
to anyone who asked. He would often be found on a warm summer’s evening
sitting on the bleachers of St. Pat’s watching a ball game and shooting the
breeze. His infectious smile, keen sense of humor and charming nature will
never be forgotten. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road.
Visitation Sunday, August 29th from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Monday,
August 30th from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral service on Tuesday, August 31st at
2:00 p.m. from Cochrane Street United Church. Cremation and
private burial service to follow. At his request, donations to honor Randy’s
memory can be made to Choices for Youth.
