Baird, Anne Theresa --
Passed peacefully away on August 28th, 2010, at the Escasoni Complex, Anne
Theresa Baird, nee Crocker, aged 80 years. Predeceased by her parents, Mary
and John (Jesse) Crocker, husband Leo, infant brother Jackie,
brothers-in-law Augustus Curtis, Walter Dyke, James Baird, Edward Baird,
John Baird, and Patrick Kennedy; sisters-in-law Bernadette Baird and Mary
Baird and her nephew John Baird Jr. Left to mourn are her children: son Gary
(wife Sharon), daughters Dianne, Janice, Karen and Heather; grandchildren
Adrienne (husband Charles Luther), Erika and Peter. Also mourning her loss
are her sisters-in-law Alice Dyke, Joan Curtis, Phyllis Baird, Vera Kennedy
and Linda Baird; uncle Clarence and wife Bernice Sullivan, aunt Edith
Sullivan and cousins Derek (wife Betty), Nancy, Carol, and Elaine Sullivan
as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Special thanks to the staff at Cambridge Estates and 2 North Escasoni for
their kindness and professional care. Over the years, Anne devoted much time
to St. Patrick’s Parish where she sang in the choir and helped organize many
fund raising events. She also was very proud to be a two-term past president
of the Catholic Women’s League at St. Patrick’s. She was a gentle and kind
hearted soul who made many friends throughout her lifetime. She will be
greatly missed. Anne will be resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, Lemarchant
Road, St. John’s with visitation on Sunday, August 29, 2010 from 7-9pm and
Monday, August 30, 2010 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass from St.
Patrick’s Church, Patrick St. Tuesday, August 31,2010 at 9:30 am. Interment
to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted, or
donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada or the Heart and
Stroke foundation.
